Daily Bread Yoga & Wellbeing is an independent Yoga and Pilates Studio based in the heart of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.

 

Our studio classes are designed to suit a wide range of experiences and practice styles including; Hatha Yoga, Hatha Yoga Flow, True Beginners Yoga, Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Yoga Nidra Relaxation, Pilates, Meditation and more. No matter what your previous experiences you are welcome to join our community and explore your practice in our beautiful space.

 

In addition to group classes we also offer private yoga and Pilates on a one to one or small group basis.

 

Within the studio we have our own dedicated therapy room where our Therapists offer sports and Holistic massage, Reiki, Physiotherapy and more.

 

Daily Bread is founded on the belief that in order to achieve lasting health and happiness we must honour our true nature. Authenticity is at the heart of everything we do from our social media through to our Instructor's teaching styles. Truly everyone is welcome; we have a fantastic community who come here to explore their own wellbeing with the support of our friendly teaching team.

FAYE JONES

Hmmmm about me.... I set up Daily Bread Yoga in June 2017 having worked in a corporate environment for years and feeling totally unfulfilled. Poor mental and physical health brought me to yoga and I just haven't looked back!

Daily Bread Studio opened July 2018, driven by a desire to bring the concept of dedicated yoga studios out of the big cities and share just how powerful a mindful practice can be. 

I want to see people moving naturally, the way Their body was designed to move. This might not be exactly the way it looks in yoga books or on the internet but knowing and trusting your own individual self is so much more powerful, both on and off the mat.

I teach a flowing style, focusing on the journey and feeling rather than the ‘end pose’. In my mind yoga is about balance; part of becoming a whole person is being authentic, that means learning to love every part of you - even the less than perfect parts. We have become so used to not listening and trusting ourselves, yoga is the perfect antidote to our hectic lives.

Favourite place: Roda, Corfu. It’s where I go to be by the water, away from technology and the busyness of life. The food is so good too!

Favourite pose: A nice low lunge. After sitting for a while i love the feeling of getting in to the hips and giving my legs a good stretch .

Usually I’ll hang out here, sway a bit and connect with my breath.

ANNIE HINCKLEY 

Hi, I’m Annie. I have been teaching Fitness Classes since 2004, teaching a range of classes in the community and at the local gyms in Bromsgrove and Redditch, and am a member of the Register Of Exercise Professionals at level 3.

Of all the various types of fitness classes I have taught, my heart lies with Pilates & Meditation. I love Pilates because it conditions both the mind and the body using well designed, quality movements which are carried out mindfully, slowly and carefully.

 

Meditation is a great way to step outside the business of life and take a moment of inner calmness. I feel that modern living has forced the majority of people to be rushing around, taking care of loved ones, family, friends, work colleagues, and forget to share some of that love with themselves. I like to give people the opportunity to stop and do just that.

Favourite place: At home surrounded by my wonderful family. My favourite place to visit is the Manjushri Kadampa Temple in Ulverston where I go to meditate guided by Buddhist monks. It really is magical.

Favourite pose: My favourite Pilates exercise is actually the very beginning of class where we simply stand, sit or lie placing the body into the best alignment we can to ensure the rest of the session is as effective and safe as possible.

JENNIE REYNOLDS-DENNIS

I did my first Yoga class about 18 years ago and loved how it made me feel. Yoga for me is like a moving meditation, if you are totally present, in the moment, focussed on your breath and your alignment, there is really no space left in your head for anything else; No matter what else is going on off your mat.  Over the years I’ve had long periods of not doing a regular yoga practice but it’s always made its way back to me whenever I’ve needed it.  I love sharing this with other people, helping them to feel stronger in their bodies and clearer in their minds. I started my teacher training in 2017 and began teaching Kids Yoga before completing my 200 hours teacher training.

 

I now offer ‘Little Yogis’ kids yoga (within nurseries and schools, right up to sixth form), Active Birth Pregnancy Yoga, Aqua Yoga and a range of group classes, from alignment focussed Hatha style to Vinyasa flow and Power Yoga. I also now offer Private classes; 1:1, ‘Buddy yoga’ if you want to bring a friend and small group classes.

 Off the mat I have two young children to keep me busy and smiling. Favourite place? Anywhere by the ocean is a winner for me.  Somewhere like Palma if I have to choose just one…. Beautiful city, great food, fine wine and most importantly near the beach.

Favourite pose: My favourite Yoga pose is Extended Puppy pose –  Uttana Shishosana.  I have very tight shoulders and this feels amazing to really sink into and as a mild inversion I find it beautifully calming.

MEGAN SULLIVAN

I am Megan and I teach Vinyasa flow, hatha and yin yoga. But I would describe my class as a hybrid of mobility and yoga to help you explore your body and what it is capable of. I absolutely love teaching yoga as it gives people the opportunity to let go of all their worries and difficulties outside of the studio and to focus completely on themselves.

Yoga 

Favourite place: My favourite place is Costa Rica as it is a beautiful country, I felt like I was in Jurassic Park.

Favourite pose: My favourite yoga pose is a lunge, any kind of lunge. I enjoy the fact that it is a strengthening and lengthening pose.

BEX JONES

My name is Rebecca (or Bex as most people know me!) and I have been practicing yoga on and off for many years. When my son was born I found that yoga was especially effective in helping me to work on redefining my postnatal body, along with the general feeling of mental and physical well being that yoga offers us.

 

So, all these years later it seemed only natural to combine my massage therapist and nursing backgrounds as the perfect foundation to train and operate as a yoga teacher, which also continues to develop my love of the form and share it with others.

 

I had the privilege of training with Ian Davis of Orange Yoga, Cheltenham and Red Kite Yoga Worcestershire where I gained my 200-hour yoga teacher training qualification with the Yoga Alliance. It has been a truly wonderful journey and I have met some amazing people during that time too.

 

A couple over years ago I also became a qualified pregnancy massage practitioner through which I have met so many lovely mums and helped them through what is always an exciting, scary and sometimes challenging time!

Favorite place: This has to be Ibiza. We visit every year and I have so many wonderful memories that will live with me forever. Watching the sunset over Es Vedra or Hostel la Torre is something everyone should experience in their lives!

Favorite pose: Pigeon pose, I love the way this particular pose delivers such strength but also allows the body to settle into it, and makes me feel like I am making space for the muscles to move in stillness and breath. world!

LAURA BARTLETT

My name is Laura Bartlett, I am a mother of 2 beautiful little people and a wife with a positive outlook on life. They all give me the motivation and strength to make positive and healthy changes to mine and my family’s lives. I am a passionate Reiki Practitioner. I love to help people by transferring life energy to a person and increasing their well-being, restoring balance and improving health. Balancing of the mind, body and soul.

 

Reiki healing complements many medicinal therapies and traditional medicine. It can be used to help assist in the healing of people suffering from stress and anxiety, depression. Promotes pain relief and can ease muscle tension. It can strengthen the immune system & promotes deep relaxation.

 

The type of Reiki that I practise is the Usui System of Natural Healing. It was discovered in the early 1920’s by Dr. Usui. I help people to be the best version of themselves, from the inside out. To guide them to strengthen and balance their health and improve general wellbeing as a Lifestyle Mentor.

 

I am also a Classic Individual Lash Technician, Skincare Consultant and Nutrition Advisor.

Reiki 

Favourite place: Sorrento, Italy. The place where I got married in 2010.

Favourite pose: ‘Bird in a Basket’, as I have finally mastered it! ;-)

GARY JONES

If you have had a recent injury, surgery or are perhaps struggling with certain aspects of your yoga and/or pilates practice then please knock on my door, drop me an email or give me a call. I’m sure we can help you.

I assess and treat all things that are musculoskeletal in nature. If you are struggling with pain in relation to muscles, joints, ligaments, tendons, bones or nerves then I’m your first port of call.

Treatments we offer include manual therapy (hands on treatment that includes mobilisations, manipulations and various soft tissue techniques), bespoke exercise - based rehabilitation, acupuncture and taping. I am registered with all the major health insurers and if you are self-paying as members of daily bread yoga you do get a cheeky little discount.

I’m married to the lovely Sara and have 2 fantastic boys Finn and Jesse who keep me very busy when I’m not at work. Outside of work my passions include sport (in particular football, cricket and darts – yes you did read that correctly…darts), watching live music and comedy, travelling, enjoying different cuisines (with fine wine of course) and I keep myself fit by running. 

Physiotherapist

Favourite place: Apart from the obvious ones of being at home with the family, being in the Cross at Finstall or of course at Daily Bread Yoga my spiritual home has to be Villa Park. Home to the other love of my life and the scene of so many great memories.

Favourite pose: As a novice yoga practitioner, I would have to say the tree as I’m still bedding my roots down in the yoga world!
